Kenya power Electricity bill via email (KPLC)

E-bill registration service allows you to receive automatic monthly bill updates via email, when your bill is processed. All you need is to register.
Registration requirements:
KPLC A/c number
National ID
An email address
The steps are:
Open an email message
Type R, followed by the first part of your account number followed by # then ID No. in the subject field e.g. R123456#1234565
Send this to register@kplc.co.ke

Paying Electricity Bill (Postpaid) with M-Pesa (Safaricom)

1. Go to Mpesa menu
2. Go to Lipa na M-PESA option
3. Select Pay Bill
   
4. Enter KPLC Business No. 888888
5. Enter Full KPLC A/c No. e.g. 123456-01
6. Enter the amount you wish to pay
7. Enter Mpesa pin
8. Confirm that all details are correct and  Ok
9. You will Receive a confirmation of the transaction via SMS

8. Confirm that all details are correct and  Ok
9. You will Receive a confirmation of the transaction via SMS

Paying your Electricity Bill with Airtel Money (Airtel)

1. Select ''Airtel Money'' from the menu.

2. Click on "Make Payments".

3. Select "Paybill".

4. Choose Kenya Power Bill for postpaid bill OR Kenya Power Prepaid for purchase of tokens.

5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

6. Enter your Airtel Money PIN.

5. Under the reference option, type your full Kenya Power account number e.g. 123456-01.6. Confirm that all details are correct.

7. You will receive a confirmation of the transaction via SMS.

 The transaction takes 24 hours to be updated.

You can check your Kenya Power bill by sending the first part of your account number e.g. 123456 by SMS to 5551.
