Jeff Koinange case:
Jeff Koinange, a popular talk show host and political analyst
Tony Gachoka were on today to pay a Sh2 million
fine each or face six months jail time for acting in contempt of court. The two in March linked Jimmi Wanjigi’s
company, the complainant, to the Anglo-Leasing scandal in contravention
of a court order. Wanjigi had obtained an injunction against the subject being discussed on the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) talk-show. Chief Magistrate Maisy Chesang’ had ordered the arrest of Koinange and Gachoka on May 14
after they failed to honour her summons to answer to the contempt of
court charge.
